A Sneak Peek of The Forests of Faera v1.0

Hello again, you wondrous creatures of Faera!

I am very excited to give you a sneak peek of some of the new and updated rules from version 1.0 of The Forests of Faera, and thought that it’s a good time to share them with you.

The Forests of Faera v1.0 will include…

• A fully redesigned layout and style throughout the document
• A brand new “quickstart guide” to help players jump right into Faera
• Helpful tips for players on how to both play and run the game
• Boons & banes to help and hinder your exploration of the forests
• Expanded rules for when you want to use your runes to weave wondrous spells
• Expanded rules that allow players to help each other when someone attempts something risky, including while you are distressed
• Rules covering those times when you need to find a safe place to recover
• A streamlined item collection and usage system
• A redesigned character creation section that includes a brand new character sheet for your explorer
• A range of variant rules that change up gameplay to better suit you and your players
• A variety of example challenges for the creatures, environmental, and exploration challenges that you may encounter on your journey
• An index of key terms so you can quickly find your way around the document
• Collaboration with a new artist who will be creating some beautiful art for the document
