Treasure Trader
A downloadable trading system
A one-card trade system.
These simple, abstract rules can be used in any tabletop roleplaying game that already contains rules for trading. All you need is that game, these rules, and your shiniest, most valuable set of polyhedral dice.
Treasure Trader uses cascading dice to add a little more excitement into your game's economy—dice that can be up or downgraded to different die sizes during gameplay along the following cascading chain:
D4 β D6 β D8 β D10 β D12
Maybe your D8 will get upgraded to a D10 during the game, or downgraded to a D6 when things don't go as planned. Maybe you'll just have to risk rolling that D4 to restock at a greedy merchant, and end up with no treasure left at all... but hey, don't worry, it'll all be worth it in the end. After all, there's always more treasure waiting for you on your next adventure!
So, in a literal sense, this would be very useful for games that treat treasure in a more abstract way. It took me a minute to realize this is also very useful in games with complex equipment list by looking at it strictly as the trader's willingness to trade with you. - Mama Newt
So, what are you waiting for? Add these rules to your game and streamline your trading today!

Special Thanks
I reached out to a wide range of people for feedback and guidance to polish up the visuals and graphic design on this little trading system of mine, and I want to extend my thanks to you all here.
So, thank you to Penflower Ink, Mama Newt from Lucky Newt Games, Logan Timmins, and a handful of other friendly folks online (who wished to remain anonymous) for your welcomed design expertise, words of encouragement, and feedback during the rapid-fire development of this little artefact.
I couldn't have made this without you all! π₯°

Love this! Super clear and simple, yet with enough mechanics to make trading actually interesting. I love how itβs open enough that I can easily use it in any game, from D&D to wanderhome and anything in between!
Thank you, that means a lot to me! I was hoping that it could be used in a variety of games of all kinds. π₯° If you do ever get to use it in one of your games, I would love to hear your stories about how it went!
