Official Release and Animated Card Preview!
Hi, friends!
I’m proud to present to you my simple, abstract trading system to use in your own games. It uses cascading dice to do so; dice that can be upgraded or downgraded in size during the game. No difficult maths calculations or tracking individual coins and treasures are involved—the cumulative wealth of your character or party is represented by a single die! Then, when you trade, you roll your treasure die against a merchant’s trade die to see how well you are able to convince them to trade with you. I use it in my own game and it works quite well!
I have also worked hard to create a clear and interactive preview of it on the game’s page itself. You can preview what Treasure Trader would look like once printed and cut out as a card: simply hover your mouse over the card on the game’s page to check out both sides of it!
The preview did take a bit of CSS-fanciness, and I am quite proud of it, and think it’s really cool. I also hope to add similar fancy previews to my other games, too, so stay tuned for that! 🤩
So, I hope you enjoy this little trading system, and would love to hear about how it goes in your own games if you do use it.
💖 Enjoy! 😊
